This year The Masons Arms and Individual Inns will have a stall at Taste Cumbria… Diane and Harriette will be there all weekend advertising all the wonderful goings on within our pubs and maybe letting you in on some of the exciting new things we have coming up! Either that, or you’ll find us in the Champagne marquee eating cupcakes (all in the name of research obviously!)

Gareth will be telling us how our friends at Bath House started off with a crazy idea about making lovely beautiful things to sell to people just like you. How they made enough money to make more fab stuff and before they knew it they had become experts at knowing all about plant extracts and fantastic ingredients with very long names. They balance ottoman rose, ylang ylang and patchouli and know lots about skin types, natural astringents and all sorts about bathing and bodycare. So why don’t you come along and learn more.

A delicious two course lunch for just £16.99, plus coffee and there might even be a little scented treat in it for you too!

Come along for a two course lunch and listen to Alison talk about her life, work and love of the fells and be inspired as she talks about working in a man’s world but remaining very much a woman. So, the weather’s not great outside but it’s the weekend so why don’t you come and treat yourselves to a lovely meal here at the Masons?! We have some cosy tables downstairs in the bar area and a fab restaurant upstairs with great views over the Winster Valley.

We even have some yummy special desserts on today…White wine jelly with set vanilla cream and gooseberry jam anyone?! Or how about some white chocolate and cappuccino mousse…

Another beautiful day at The Masons Arms… why don’t you come and enjoy the sunshine on our terrace and take in the stunning view with some yummy food!?

I know it’s an awful day outside but we have our fires roaring and some great specials on the menu to cheer up you all up! Why don’t you come over for lunch or dinner and try one of the following…

Beef, Stilton & Game Pie - tender cuts of beef, braised in a rich Guinness gravy, topped with a Stilton pastry lid, accompanied by chipped potatoes, mushy peas and pickled red cabbage.

Supreme of Lakeland Chicken, filled with duck liver parfait, served with sage Dauphinoise potatoes, glazed Chantenay carrots and finished with a mushroom & rosemary sauce.

Pan Fried Fillet of Scottish Salmon, with sauteed new potatoes and steamed asparagus, finished with a creamy tomato, white wine and mussel sauce.

Lunch served between 12 Noon and 2.30pm, Dinner 6pm - 9pm. The bar is open all day so pop by for a drink infront of the fire!

The weekend is nearly here, only a few more hours to go! We’ve got some great specials on tonight… how does ‘Oven Roasted Pork Fillet wrapped in parma ham, with honey roast parsnips, red cabbage, fondant potato and a mustard and thyme cream sauce sound?

Or how about…A Seared Swordfish Steak with a tomato, caper and prawn sauce with spicy fried potatoes and steamed asparagus?
